What did you do in the war, Granddad?
Tom never spoke to anyone in his family about his wartime experiences, until one day his 13-year old granddaughter, Emma, came home with a school History project to do. One can imagine the conversation starting, with Emma putting on her best smile: “Granddad…” And how could Tom refuse?!
