A bereaved mother's anguish

It grabbed my attention and I started to read it. It is essentially one person’s account of why they are fascinated by cemeteries and this one in particular.
I read down and came across the following which is a gravestone epitaph by the mother of the man buried there; –
“Signalman P. H. Ellis’s grave spoke of a loving mother: ‘My Only Child, he gave his all. Till We Meet Again – Mother‘”. Somewhere in England, the mother of P. H. Ellis lived out her life without grandchildren to renew her youth because her son ‘gave his all’.”
I immediately recognised the name: Signalman P. H. Ellis was one of the eleven men with GCI 15082 who were killed on landing on Omaha. He was with No. 16 Air Formation Signals.
Out of the nearly 4,700 graves at Bayeux, this was one of the very few to have their epitaph quoted. Quite a coincidence.
